The Automated Computerised System (ACS) is a purpose-built mobile and web-based software application developed to streamline and digitize post-harvest collection and cold storage management. Primarily designed for use at collection and aggregation centers, ACS ensures accurate and traceable data recording of farm produce, significantly improving operational efficiency, data security, and transparency for farmers, cold storage operators, and associated stakeholders.
At its core, ACS provides a user-friendly interface that captures key details about incoming agricultural produce—such as farmer information, crop variety, storage conditions, and arrival dates. Once this data is entered, ACS automatically generates a QR-coded sticky label, which includes all relevant information. This label is printed and physically attached to a register or packaging, enabling easy identification, tracking, and verification through a QR scan.
The system enforces secure access through authentication and offers multiple layers of functionality, including the ability to edit stored entries, maintain activity logs, and annotate operational remarks. These logs are useful for traceability, accountability, and compliance during cold storage audits.
